How do you verify a Chinese supplier?
Start with the supplier's full Chinese legal name, business license and 18-character Unified Social Credit Code. Match those details to the official registry, compare the contract and bank beneficiary, then verify that the company can actually make or supply the specified product.
A registration match answers “does this legal entity exist?” It does not answer “can this team make my product correctly?” A useful China supplier verification service separates legal identity, commercial payment, manufacturing capability and product-specific evidence.

Six checks before payment or production commitment
Official status
Compare the supplied document with the current GSXT record and note mismatches or access limitations.
Bank beneficiary
Compare the proposed payment recipient with the contracting entity. Any different beneficiary needs a documented explanation and buyer approval.
Factory or trader
Clarify whether the counterparty manufactures, trades, subcontracts or coordinates—and which facility is intended to make the order.
Product evidence
Request process, equipment, material, sample, capacity and quality-control evidence relevant to the actual specification.
Residual risk

Factory audit China
Verification is not automatically a full factory audit.
An on-site factory audit may examine facilities, equipment, production flow, capacity, quality systems, records or social-compliance requirements. The audit criteria, location, auditor, access and report format must be agreed separately.
A site visit can strengthen evidence, but it still represents a point in time. Product approval, contract controls, in-process follow-up and pre-shipment inspection remain separate decisions.

How do I verify a Chinese supplier before paying?
Collect the business license and exact Chinese legal name, search the USCC or name in GSXT, compare registration details, match the contract and bank beneficiary, and request product-specific capability evidence. Record unresolved discrepancies before deciding.
Is a Chinese business license enough?
No. It helps confirm identity and registered scope, but it does not prove present capacity, product quality, ownership of a factory, financial health or future performance.
Is supplier verification the same as a factory audit?
No. Verification checks selected identity, payment and capability evidence. A factory audit is a separately defined on-site assessment. ZWC scopes the required evidence instead of using the terms interchangeably.
Can verification guarantee that my order is safe?
No. Verification reduces uncertainty at a defined time. It cannot guarantee future conduct, delivery, product compliance or recovery of funds. Use appropriate contracts, sample approvals, inspection and qualified legal or compliance advice.
