Normalize the cost per ordered unit
Use one currency throughout. Add only costs excluded from the supplier's unit price; if freight or packaging is already included, leave that additional cost at zero.
Formula: (unit price + extra packing per unit) × quantity + tooling + inspection + freight/other extras. Divide that total by quantity for comparable cost per ordered unit.
Example only: 1,000 units at 10, plus 0.50 packing per unit, 500 tooling, 200 inspection and 800 freight gives a total of 12,000 and 12.00 per unit. This is not a ZWC quotation. The result excludes taxes, duties and any costs you have not entered; it is not a customs or final landed-cost estimate. Tooling is allocated fully to this order. Compare identical specifications and delivery terms separately. Entries stay in this page and are not sent to ZWC.
